Another airport closer to Gangtok is Bagdogra Airport, which is 121 kilometres away. The airport receives flights from some Indian cities as well as neighbouring countries like Bhutan. 

By Road:

Bus: Sikkim Nationalised Transport (SNT) are government buses that run between Siliguri and Gangtok. The journey from Siliguri, Bagdogra, and New Jalpaiguri begins at Sevoke Road and continues on National Highway NH10 along a lovely road with the beautiful Teesta River flowing beside and mountains all around. 

By Rail:
