Day 1 – Arrival at Chennai

With the South India Temple Tour, discover a deeper sense of spirituality and achievement. The journey lasts 12 days and brings you through numerous Southern cities, including Chennai, Tirupati, Kanchipuram, Mamallapuram, Tiruvannamalai, and Pondicherry.

Day 2 – Chennai – Tirupati – Chennai

Pick up from the hotel and depart for Tirupati after breakfast.

Visit the Tirupati Temple Darshan after you arrive at Tirupati. This temple is devoted to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and is situated on Tirumala hill.

After receiving the darshan, go to the Sri Padmavathi Devi temple, which is 5 km away from Tirupati. Goddess Padmavati, an incarnation of Goddess Laxmi, is the subject of this temple.

The Govindaraja Swamy Temple is the next stop on your itinerary. After that, head to Kapila Theertham, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva that is perched next to a stunning waterfall at the foot of the Tirumala Hills.

View the Sri Kodandaramaswami Temple, which was built in the tenth century by Chola monarchs.

Day 3 – Trip to Kanchipuram and Mamallapuram

Set out for Mamallapuram, popularly known as Mahabalipuram, after breakfast to see the renowned temples.

One of the seven sacred towns to Hindus is Kanchipuram, which you will see en route. In Buddhism, Jainism, and Hinduism, this city is significant. This city was a significant turning point for Tamil education in antiquity.

As soon as you get at Mamallapuram, check into the hotel, freshen yourself and prepare to explore the area.

You will see an antique bas relief at our first site, the ancient harbour of Pallavas. This bas relief features representations of all of creation, including gods, demi-gods, men-beasts, and other figures.

Visit the Shore Temple next, a collection of temples and shrines that houses several god and demi-god figures carved out of stone.

Day 4 – Trip to Tiruvannamalai and Pondicherry

Day 5 – Pondicherry Excursion

The Sri Aurobindo Ashram, a temple built by Sri Aurobindo in 1926 for the advancement of yoga and modern science, will be your first stop.

A magnificent Catholic church in Pondicherry is the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Day 6 – Pondicherry to Thanjavur

After a satisfying breakfast, check out of the accommodation and begin your journey to Thanjavur.

You will stop in Chidambaram on the route. Lord Nataraja, a cosmic dancer incarnation of Lord Shiva, is the subject of the Nataraja temple in Chidambaram.

As you near Thanjavur, check into the hotel and take the rest of the day as you choose.

Day 7 – Thanjavur to Tiruchirapalli

Check out of the hotel after breakfast and prepare for your next destination.

We are going to Lord Shiva’s elaborate temple, Brihadeeswara Temple, today. One of the biggest Shiva lingas in India can be seen in one of the biggest South Indian temples.

Travel to Tiruchirapalli in the afternoon and check into the hotel.
You might venture outside in the evening to discover the neighbourhood.
Return to the motel to spend the night.

Day 8 – Tiruchirapalli to Madurai

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and get ready to see Madurai as part of your South India temple trip.

You will stop at Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple along the way, which is the biggest temple complex in India and a popular Hindu pilgrimage site.

Visit Rock Fort later, then drive to Madurai in the late afternoon.
Check into the hotel as soon as you arrive and stay the night.

Day 9 – Madurai Sightseeing

After breakfast, depart the hotel and go see the Madurai temple, which was constructed by Pandyan and Madurai Nayak.

Watch a prayer service in the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, one of the most revered shrines to Goddess Parvati, in the evening.

Return to the motel to spend the night.

Day 10 – Madurai to Kanyakumari

Check out of the hotel after breakfast and begin the trip to Kanyakumari.

As soon as you arrive, check in at the hotel, unwind for a moment, and then leave to explore the area’s historical beauties.

You will be seeing the Thiruvalluvar Statue, the Kumari Amman Temple, and Swami Vivekananda’s Memorial today.

Day 11 – Departure

Check out of the hotel and be transported to Tirvandrum after breakfast.

If you have time after arriving, you can travel to the Napier Museum and the Padmanabha Swamy temple.
