The 13th International Sand Art Festival has begun at Puri’s famed Chandrabhaga Beach. This well-known cultural event brings expert sand artists from all over the world to Odisha. They demonstrate their skill by creating intricate and stunning sand sculptures!
The festival revolves around a variety of themes, including cultural heritage, social issues, and environmental conservation, and it uses sand art to demonstrate a worldwide viewpoint and understanding.
Artists here use the golden sands of the beach to create elaborate designs and sculptures that frequently carry important messages. The festival not only draws foreign sand sculptors but also highlights the talents of local craftspeople.
The festival’s main goals are to promote tourism, celebrate the rich beauty of sand sculpting, and provide a venue for artists to exchange ideas and skills. Visitors to the festival have the rare opportunity to watch the evolution of these ephemeral artworks throughout the festival.
Despite their transient nature, the sculptures create an indelible impact with their meticulous details and the expert hands that brought them to life. Beyond its cultural and artistic value, the International Sand Art Festival promotes the region’s coastline beauty, making it a must-see for both art fans and tourists.
The 13th International Sand Art Festival 2023 edition will feature more than 100 performers, including international representation from the United States, Australia, Sri Lanka, Russia, Belarus, and the Czech Republic.
