Amarnath Cave gets motorable road

With the expansion of road connectivity up to the cave shrine in Jammu and Kashmir by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), cars may now reach the Amarnath Cave, marking a historic development. An official made the announcement of the news.

According to reports, the committed BRO staff successfully finished the road widening project that ran through the Baltal base camp in the Ganderbal area and connected Dumail to the Amarnath Cave. By extending road access up to the Amarnath Cave temple, the officials made history.

The BRO widened the road from Sangam base ahead of Chandanwari in Pahalgam, according to the officials, and a “new cut alignment” was used all the way to Sangam Top. Based on reports, it appears that the lower cave region has been included in the expanding project, leading up to the shrine that receives thousands of Hindu pilgrims annually.

The first group of cars has already arrived at the Amarnath cave temple, marking a noteworthy milestone in the expansion of road access to the site.

The BRO’s “Project Beacon” was given charge of preserving the trails that lead to the cave shrine last year. The purpose of this action was to make the yearly Amarnath Yatra more convenient for pilgrims. It is anticipated that the pilgrimage experience will improve for devotees if a motorable road connects them to the cave shrine.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), however, objected to this development, seeing it as harmful to the pilgrimage’s spiritual component. They expressed worry about religious pilgrimages being used for political objectives as vacation spots.
