Uttarakhand’s Kedarnath temple is covered in a thick blanket of snow.

Kedarnath, the revered Kedarnath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, has been blanketed in snow for the last three days. Four inches of snow has fallen in the area, causing extreme cold in Kedarpur. Kedarnath’s maximum temperature remained at 3 degrees, while the minimum temperature fell to minus 9 degrees.

Construction work in Kedarnath temple has been hampered by the unexpected snowfall, particularly projects involving cement. On Saturday morning, heavy clouds blanketed Kedarnath, and snowfall began around 12:30 PM. It snowed for two hours straight.
The shrine has received about four inches of new snow. Prior to this, there was heavy snowfall in the shrine on Friday. Devotees and officials are both experiencing discomfort as a result of the inclement weather. For the past three to four days, the temperature in the shrine has been dropping since the afternoon.
Meanwhile, there was significant snowfall in Badrinath on Saturday morning. Throughout the day, the weather in and around the shrine changed, and devotees braved the cold to catch a glimpse of the deity. Around 5pm on Saturday, light rain began.The surrounding peaks of the shrine have also been blanketed in thick snow. Although the weather cleared up around 10 a.m., the snowfall has significantly increased the cold in the shrine. The majority of the snow in the shrine had melted by the afternoon, but snow had accumulated in the mountains.
