Himachal Pradesh: A ropeway will connect to the well-known Chintpurni shrine

Overview

One important step in resolving these problems will be the installation of the ropeway. The goal of drawing five crore tourists a year has been underlined by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who has also highlighted the critical role that religious tourism plays in accomplishing this goal.

According to a recent development, a 1.1 kilometre ropeway is planned to be built at an estimated cost of INR 76.50 crore for the Mata Chintpurni Temple in the Una region of Himachal Pradesh. This action follows the state’s efforts to increase religious tourism. The Mata Chintpurni Temple ropeway is one of the religious shrines that the state government is reportedly considering connecting with ropeways for simple accessibility and to enhance the current infrastructure.

Mata Chintpurni Temple is one of the places chosen for this development because of its spiritual and historical value as one of the Shakti Peethas. According to officials, the new ropeway system will be able to handle 700 passengers per hour in each direction.

Presently, there is only one route leading from the Baba Mai Dass Bhawan parking lot to the temple, which causes problems like crowding and traffic on holy occasions like Navratri.

To solve these issues, the ropeway’s introduction will be a critical first step. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has stated that the goal is to bring in five crore tourists a year, and religious tourism is essential to reaching this target.

In a related development, representatives of the Chintpurni Temple Trust recently declared that followers of the Shakti Peeth Maa Chintpurni Temple in Una, Himachal Pradesh, can now place online orders for prasad.

The purpose of launching this new service is to improve what devotees can get. At the service’s opening, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri mentioned ongoing efforts to enhance the preparations for devotees who come to Maa Chintpurni’s court.

Promoting religious tourism is a top goal for the state government, which also runs transport corporation buses to make visiting religious sites easier. Devotees can also take use of a 3-D darshan option. The Sugam Darshan plan has been a success, bringing over INR 1 crore to the Chintpurni Temple from kindhearted donors.
