By Road:
The road trip to Kashmir-Leh is an adventure in itself, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan landscape. There are two main routes to reach Leh by road:
Srinagar-Leh Highway: This route starts from Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. It takes you through picturesque towns like Sonamarg, Drass (the second coldest inhabited place on earth), Kargil, and the iconic Zoji La pass. The road remains open from around May/June to October/November, depending on weather conditions.
Manali-Leh Highway: This route starts from Manali in Himachal Pradesh. The journey takes you through high-altitude passes like Rohtang Pass and Baralacha La and beautiful regions like Keylong, Sarchu, and Pang. The Manali-Leh Highway opens from late May/early June to September/October, again depending on weather conditions.

By Train:
There is no direct railway connectivity to Leh. The nearest major railway station is Jammu Tawi Railway Station in Jammu, which is well-connected to various cities in India. After reaching Jammu, you can continue your journey to Leh either by air or by road, as mentioned earlier.
