Day 1 -Arrival at Paro & Transfer to Thimphu

Arrive at Paro International Airport, where a friendly driver will help you transfer to Thimphu, the country’s capital.
After you arrive in Thimphu, check into your accommodation and then relax.
You can spend the remainder of the day exploring Thimphu’s lovely local markets at your own pace.
After that, you’ll go back to your hotel.
Evening meal and hotel stay in Thimphu.

Day 2 –Thimphu Sightseeing

After a delectable breakfast, the day will start with an exhilarating tour of Thimphu’s highlights.
After that, you’ll go see the National Memorial Chorten, which was erected in memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
See the Motithang Takin Preserve, the modest home of Takin, the national animal of Bhutan, as well as the largest Buddha Statue that stares out over the lovely Thimphu Valley.

Day 4 –Thimphu to Punakha

After a hearty breakfast, set out on a drive across Dochula Pass to Punakha.
We take a little break at Dochula Pass to observe the Higher Himalayas if the skies are fine.
See Chimi Lhakhang along the journey, also referred to as “the Temple of Fertility,” which was created by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, who defeated demons with his “Magical Thunderbolt.”Visit Punakha Dzong, which functioned as the government’s seat for many years up until the reign of the second monarch. It is located between Pho Chu (the male river) and Mo Chu (the female river).
Je-Khenpo still spends his winters in Punakha, where King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk also called the first meeting of the new National Assembly in 1952.

Day 5 –Punakha to Paro

After enjoying a hearty breakfast to start the day, check out of the hotel.
Before leaving for Paro, you might then continue your exploration of Punakha.
After you arrive in Paro, check into your accommodation and then relax.
After there, you’ll go 16 kilometres up the Valley to the Drukgyel Dzong ruins.
The dzong was constructed in 1647 by the great Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the founder and unifier of mediaeval Bhutan, and was left in ruins as a poignant reminder of the tremendous triumphs it was meant to celebrate.Check out of the hotel after a substantial breakfast to start the day.
You could then carry on exploring Punakha before departing for Paro.
When you get to Paro, check into your lodging and then unwind.
The Drukgyel Dzong ruins are 16 kilometres up the Valley from there.
The great Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the founder and unifier of mediaeval Bhutan, built the dzong in 1647, and it was left in ruins as a sombre reminder of the enormous victories it was meant to commemorate.

Day 6-Excursion to Taktsang

After eating a wholesome breakfast, go out on an expedition to Taktsang Monastery.
After driving to Satsam Chorten, a two-hour horse ride will take you to the monastery’s vantage point.
To get to Taktsang, the trail ascends through a lovely pine forest with an occasional grove of flapping prayer flags.
The monastery, which clings to the edge of a rock cliff that drops 900 metres into the valley below, was constructed around Guru Rinpoche’s meditation cave.Thereafter, you can explore Ta Dzong, a historic watchtower that currently houses the National Museum beneath the Paro Rinpung Dzong (roughly, “Heap of Diamonds”) fortress.
Take a quick stroll to the dzong’s base and cross a conventional cantilevered, covered bridge.
Make your way back to the hotel in the evening.

Day 7 Departure from Paro

Check out of the accommodation and head to Paro International Airport following breakfast.
