How To Reach

By Air : The major entryway for travellers arriving by air is the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. The primary airline is Nepal Airlines. Air Arabia, Air Asia X, Air China, Etihad, Fly Dubai, Jet Airways, Malaysia carriers, Oman Airlines, Qatar Airways, Silk Air, and Thai Air are more carriers that fly to and from these airports. By Train : Between Sirsiya in southern Nepal and Raxaul in India, passenger and cargo trains run. However, rail border crossing is restricted to Indian citizens alone.

By Road : It is typical practise to travel from India to Nepal in a cab or hired car. You must pay a toll of NPR 120 and a transport permit of NPR 50 in order to cross the border. Since these may be requested at any checkpoint along the route, be careful to gather the receipts for them.
